What is Humble Bumble?

While New Orleans is known for its rich food history and culture, one in four children in New Orleans live with food insecurity, and 73% of those children in Orleans Parish are income-eligible for federal nutrition programs.

Humble Bumble is on a mission to ensure that every child in the New Orleans area has access to delicious and healthy food options that empower them to excel in school and life. Dedicated to providing complete, nutritious, and tasty meals to students in low-income areas throughout New Orleans, Humble Bumble’s innovative approach uses urban gardens to supplement fresh produce, providing healthy meal options to students in New Orleans public schools.

In their centralized food hub, they will also partner with local farmers, offer sustainable agriculture programs, and implement initiatives such as rain barrels, bee keeping, and school gardens to promote environmental awareness and hands-on learning.

Your donation will directly contribute to these efforts, making a lasting impact on the well-being and education of the children they serve. By supporting Humble Bumble, you are not only investing in the future of New Orleans youth, but also in the sustainability and enrichment of the entire community.

Humble Bumble is recognized by the state of Louisiana as an active nonprofit. They are in the final steps of 501(c)(3) certification. Once certified, your gift will be tax deductible.

Thank you for supporting students in New Orleans.
